About Me
My idea for photography
MR ARTO means Mariusz Runiewicz Art (the word Arto is from Esperanto)
There are many new ideas and concepts in my head, which is why I don't want to put myself in the box of any specific photographic style.
But if I had to specify the photographic style in which I create my works currently, I would say that it is a combination of street and urban with a slight touch of candid photography.
When creating my photographic works, I only use existing light. When editing photos, I try not to interfere with realism and change its original appearance. I use basic functions in a graphics program to make the photo reflect the moment I saw.
The most important thing in all this is that I love photography and creating new images. For me, photography is an escape from reality to the land of imagination and art.
I cordially invite everyone who wants to get to know my work.My photography website will continue to grow and change over time, so please check back occasionally to see new work.
Thank you
A different view of reality
The perception of reality depends on ourselves and our mood. We decide whether the world around us is full of colors or black and white with many shades of gray.Sometimes we also have no influence on the changes surrounding us. The world is accelerating, changes are happening faster and faster. In this rush, we miss important details.
That's why it's worth stopping sometimes,to taking a deep breath and exhaling and looking at reality from a different perspective.
I believe that photography is a great tool for capturing these moments.
When creating my portfolio, I decided to divide it into two parts. One is in warm colors and strongly emphasizes the mood. The second one is in black and white to express the message more clearly.
Beginning
I come from Poland though my adventure with photography began when I emigrated to Scotland many years ago, but not so long ago in 2016 I completed a photography course at a college in Edinburgh. In 2017, I decided to move to England (Lancaster), where I started my life photography project, which continues to this day.
